Tamara
Kappel founded MultiMedia Technologies, Inc. in 1992
following ten years of experience in media buying.
"My style is to develop trust with
my clients, let them know that I spend their money as
carefully as I spend my own," states Tamara. This
developed trust among clients and Tamara's uncanny ability
to get the best rates for a desired medium has contributed
to her success and, in turn, the success of the agency
and her loyal client base.
Tamara's advertising career began in 1981,
at J. Walter Thompson. This position allowed her to
see opportunities in the field and consider her own
potential. Following three-and-a-half years at J. Walter
Thompson, Tamara moved to a position at Lintas: Campbell-Ewald
as a local market specialist. Prior to opening her own
agency, she worked with Yaffe & Co. as the head
negotiator of the Perry Drug Store account. She
has also worked on the Chevrolet, Burger King and
Twentieth Century Fox accounts, to name just a few.
Recognition of her superb talent came in 1998 when Tamara
was named one of Michigan's Top 10 Women of Distinction
by the National Association of Women Business Owners.
Tamara has, for a number of years, also
been heavily involved in charity work and, in 2003,
was appointed as First Vice Chairperson for Spectrum
Human Services a Detroit based Charity that has
a budget of $40 million making it the 11th largest in
Michigan. Prior to being Vice Chairperson she was Chairwoman
of the Development Committee at Spectrum for a number
of years. In 2002 she was awarded the Annual Women's
Appreciation Day Award for Outstanding Commitment to
Women, Children and Families.
